Debt Collector

A lawsuit filed against North American Asset Services for violating the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA).  It was alleged this debt collector threatened to file suit against our client in a jurisdiction where the defendant did not live or where the contract was signed, and threatened to file suit on a debt even though the statute of limitations had expired.  The defendant settled the case for money for our client, all of The Consumer Law  Group, P.C.'s fees and the removal of any negative trade lines for this debt it had filed on her credit report.
