The Nov 28 issue of Automotive News reports that some 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks are subject to TSB 23-053-16, which tells dealers that some of the trucks have an engine under the hood that doesn’t match the Hemi badge branded on the truck itself. Instead of the Hemi 5.7 liter V-8 advertised by the Hemi badge, these trucks instead have a 3.6 liter V-6.

So Chrysler is telling dealers the fix is easy. Just remove the hemi badge on the outside of the truck (i.e., the owner – buyer will never know the difference)…

No word yet on whether manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP)  will change or it the Monroney Label (the label from the manufacturer stating the MSRP and features of the vehicle that on the window of every new car).  For Dodge hemi fans, that hemi emblem is a big deal. I can just hear the service manager telling the body shop tech, “just rip that thing off and polish the truck up where the emblem was – they’ll never miss it. ”
