Patty Anderson has been practicing consumer law since January of 2004, when she met John Gayle and began sharing office space with The Consumer Law Group. Patty has practiced law in a variety of fields since 1987, in Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia. Now she represents consumers in their issues with manufacturers of just about anything- cars, RV’s, flooring, even room additions and out-buildings. She takes on what may seem far-fetched cases at first and tries to find a way to use the law to make consumers who have been taken advantage of whole again. One of the types of cases that Patty loves to tackle is when car repairs or oil changes go bad, particularly at major chain stores. It isn’t surprising that sometimes a technician forgets to put oil in a car or puts in the wrong filter, but what happens after that can surprise a consumer: the person who gets an oil change of course doesn’t check that the filter is there and is the right size, or that oil has been added because he relies on the technician to have done the job properly. But when within a day or two the engine starts knocking or seizes from lack of oil, the consumer expects the oil change facility to admit its mistake and make it right. When that doesn’t happen, call Patty.

All kinds of consumer issues can be addressed with laws that provide a remedy, including paying the consumer’s attorney fees, so don’t hesitate to email or call with any questions.

    Education:

Ms. Anderson was a National Merit Scholar and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, at The University of Texas at Austin. She proceeded with her legal education, receiving a Doctorate of Jurisprudence at UT’s School of Law.
